A shop built around the freezer aisle
MAHDI MOHIBI supplies frozen seafood to homes across Cranbourne West and Greater Melbourne. The idea came from watching families buy a single expensive seafood dinner once a year, then fall back on chicken for the other fifty-one weeks.
We wanted the opposite: honest frozen squid, octopus, crab and fish that could go into a weeknight stir-fry without a second thought about the cost.
Portion first, then price
Everything is sold in packs sized for a real meal rather than a restaurant service. Squid rings, whole octopus, brown crab, crayfish tails, tuna steak, sole, small sea fish and sea cucumber are portioned, labelled and frozen within hours of landing.
We are fussy about the freeze. Product is blast frozen, stored at minus eighteen or colder, and packed in insulated liners with gel. If the cold chain is broken anywhere, the item does not leave the building.
Delivery, without the theatre
Orders are processed in one to three business days. Transit across Melbourne, regional Victoria and interstate is estimated at seven to fourteen business days, with tracking sent as soon as the label exists.
Anything that arrives thawed or damaged is replaced or refunded when you send a photograph within 48 hours of delivery. Change-of-mind returns on unopened, still-frozen packs are accepted for 30 days.
